Account and selected-data deletion — DoggyRadar

1. How to request deletion

Delete your account in Profile → Settings → Your Data (GDPR) → Delete Account, or via the public page. Depending on authentication, confirm account access, the phrase `USUWAM KONTO` and MFA if enabled. If you cannot use the form, contact rodo@doggyradar.com for proportionate verification; never send your password by email.

You may request erasure of selected data without closing your account, such as a photo or content, by specifying the scope and enough information to identify it at rodo@doggyradar.com. No reason is required. The controller assesses statutory exceptions and explains any refusal. The usual GDPR response deadline is one month; a justified extension is communicated within that month.

Account deletion does not cancel Apple/Google subscriptions. Guardians with active supervision must first transfer it or close the supervised accounts.

2. Effects on data

• The profile, associated dog information, GPS and walks are deleted.
• Private messages involving the account are deleted. Group messages authored by the user and memberships are removed; groups created by the account and their dependent messages are deleted.
• The title and body of the user's forum threads are erased and their replies deleted. An empty thread shell marked deleted can remain to preserve others' replies. Merely unlinking authorship would not anonymise content.
• All of the user's alerts — active and inactive — are deleted; descriptions and coordinates do not remain on the map as alerts of that account.
• Photos/screenshots enter a physical-deletion queue; database records and files may not disappear at exactly the same instant.
• Minimal guardian/business acceptance evidence may remain pseudonymous for a particular duty or claim after unnecessary full IP/User-Agent and direct identifiers are removed. Pseudonymisation is not anonymisation.
• Accounting documents have their own statutory period. This does not justify keeping the entire profile or all telemetry.

3. Retention, backups and fulfilment information

Exact server-side route copies are subject to a 1–90 day limit, maximum 90 days, without affecting earlier erasure rights. Device offline queues require separate verification. See the Privacy Policy.

Final evidence periods and each backup layer's retention need approval before final publication. This draft does not confirm an operational final purge or a successful restore test applying later erasure requests. Backups are not a source for resuming ordinary use of erased data; applicable erasure must be reapplied before users regain access after restoration.

Where data remains on a valid basis, we provide its category, ground and applicable period on request. Other people's copies/quotations require separate assessment. You can complain to the President of UODO.
